Position: Project Developer (Project Manager)
Location: Northern

As a Project Developer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the ambitious expansion of our asset production across the United States. This position is dedicated to either early-stage or late-stage energy project development, operating within a collaborative matrix organization composed of subject matter experts from various disciplines. Your involvement will span community engagement, site identification and evaluation, early-stage project permitting, business development, and project management activities that directly contribute to Next Era Energy's growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute significantly to the strategic growth of our energy asset production in the US.
  • Focus on both early-stage and late-stage energy development efforts.
  • Collaborate within a matrixed organization, leveraging expertise from across the company.
  • Lead initiatives in community engagement, site evaluation, project permitting, and business development.
  • Manage projects that have a direct impact on Next Era Energy's overall performance.
  • Provide regular updates and findings to leadership.
  • Contribute actively to a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
  • Engage in travel (~30%) to various project sites, gaining firsthand insight into project progression.
Qualifications
  • Experience in leading project management and/or business development teams.
  • Strong ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting updates and findings effectively.
  • Willingness to actively contribute to team discussions on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrated success in driving community engagement and project permitting efforts.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience in energy project development, with a focus on transmission, wind, solar, and energy storage a plus.
