Energy Auditor/Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Energy Auditor/Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, believes in energy efficient buildings, and wants to make a real impact in the community while earning a strong income. As an Energy Auditor, you will educate homeowners and businesses on building science-driven approaches to insulate, air seal, and ventilate their buildings, guide them through the decision-making process, and help them choose Sustainergy to help them.

• Base salary + uncapped commission + bonuses, realistically totalling $70-100k+ in the first year

• Option to become a worker-owner of the business $7k to $30k/yr

• Train on-the-job through shadowing and sit-down education (paid training)
• Perform in-home energy audits by walking through all levels of buildings
• Educate customers on issues found and the solutions Sustainergy can provide
• Self-generate leads as well as serve company-provided leads
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Collaborate with internal and install teams for smooth project handoff
• Track sales activities and maintain accurate records

• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and reliable transportation
• Physically able to climb ladders, fit into small accesses and navigate confined spaces including attics and crawlspaces
• Previous sales experience is preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, highly motivated, and goal driven with a proven track record
• Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates
• Self-starter and networker, motivated to obtain new leads

Sustainergy is based in Cincinnati, OH, one of the greenest and most affordable cities in the country. Driving routes typically up to 50 mile radius (further appointments mostly held virtually)
