What You’ll Do

  • Lead EHS outcomes for one or more manufacturing departments by driving leadership commitment, employee engagement, and alignment with business and EHS strategies.
  • Work closely with factory stakeholders to ensure production and operational changes improve controls related to health, safety, and environmental risks.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, document findings, and verify that corrective actions are completed effectively.
  • Analyse incident and event trends, use risk assessment methods, and identify continuous improvement projects to reduce injuries, illnesses, and environmental impact events.
  • Facilitate incident investigations using a Learning Teams approach, ensuring worker participation and focusing on system-level causes rather than only individual behaviours.
  • Support pre-job planning and verify that required controls and safeguards are in place before new, high-risk, or non-standard work begins.
  • Partner with EHS specialist teams such as Environmental, Construction Safety, Equipment Safety, EHS Systems and Tools, and EHS Training to ensure effective support and service delivery.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2 years of experience as an environmental, health, or safety professional, preferably in manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, or a similar work environment.
  • Experience supporting EHS program development, training employees at all levels, and influencing change to reduce risk and improve safety outcomes.
  • Knowledge of hazard analysis methods, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicle safety, OSHA compliance, incident investigation, lessons learned, and corrective action management.
  • Familiarity with industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machine safety, and environmental compliance processes.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities, deadlines, and operational demands.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on teamwork, action orientation, accountability, and empathy.
