FIELD GENERATOR TECHNICIAN (South Roxana, IL)

We are the Hipower Power Generation Distributorship for the Southern Illinois and Missouri Region. We have one position available for Generator Technicians to meet expanding customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, service repairs and load bank testing on generators in the shop and in the field.
• Technician must furnish a complete set of tools.
• Have a basic knowledge of common Power Generation products including diesel and natural gas engines, alternators and automatic transfer switches.

Role:

• Complete preventative maintenance, inspection and service repairs on generators, diesel and natural gas / liquid petroleum engines and automatic transfer switches.
• Continually build good customer relationships and representation of Mike’s Inc.
• Maintain a clean work environment, on the job and at the shop.
• Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have basic knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial power generation units.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
• Must be able to safely operate all testing equipment and tools to include load bank testing.
• Must be able to interact with customers in an effective, positive and professional manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal and worksite safety.
• Desire to continuously develop and improve skills for high job performance.
• Requires the use of a company vehicle, license and insurability.
