VP of Project Development

Wolfram Chemical and Manufacturing Corporation is developing a large-scale greenfield refining project configured for American light sweet crude from the Permian Basin. The concept is a ~500,000 barrel-per-day facility with a phased, fuels-first design (gasoline, jet, diesel) and the option for later petrochemical expansion.

The project is currently at FEL-1. We are raising seed capital to build a small core team of experienced operators and technical support, harden the development package, and prepare for broader engagement with EPCs and project stakeholders.

We are founder-led and focused on practical development: clear configuration, disciplined economics, and attracting people who have delivered energy projects at scale.

We are looking for someone who has helped run or lead large oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical project development or execution and can operate in an early-stage sponsor environment.

• Lead project development planning and sequencing
• Guide technical package hardening and EPC engagement strategy
• Stress-test configuration, CAPEX logic, and execution risks
• Act as a credible operating voice with capital and partners

• Experience with energy projects at meaningful scale (refining, petrochemicals, midstream, or large process facilities)
• Comfort with early-stage ambiguity and founder-led teams
• Ability to translate real project experience into practical next steps
• Experience with legal and regulatory frameworks for energy projects is a plus

Base salary contingent on close of seed financing (target on the order of $250k for the right profile). Equity: approximately 1% of the Class B / employee pool, 4-year vest with a 1-year cliff.

Remote (US), Central Time preferred. Future on-site (Texas) or hybrid work is possible as the project advances.
