Position Description
. Partner with the safety team to learn how to apply and enforce company safety policies, work procedures and initiatives to promote a culture of safety first.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Comply with all federal, state, and local safety and health guidelines and requirements, as well as site-specific safety provisions
- Partner with the safety team in the following activities:
- Site-specific safety training or safety awareness events
- Monitoring compliance of safety practices throughout the worksite
- Assisting in response to safety incidents and administering First Aid as needed
- Participating in walk-though audits for safety practices and site facility inspections
- Performing routine onsite activities as required by Baker Electric and site partners (i.e., assignment of safety equipment, gather required medical documentation, etc.)
- Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to HRM or Executive Leaders with recommendation for resolution.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Required Attributes and Competencies (Skills)
- Actively enrolled in college courses in a related field
- Long-term interest in a construction related career such as project management, estimating, operation management including safety, superintendent, etc.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail
- Conscientiousness, personal responsibility and dependability
- Familiarity with Windows based operating systems and web-based applications, include ERP systems or other construction/financial software packages
