Overview
Quality Engineer
Sky Climber LLC.
Onsite – Delaware, OH
Responsible for routinely performing evaluations and supporting inspections of finished products or components for compliance. May work directly with suppliers to determine compliance of processes to established specifications. Prepares and maintains appropriate reports and analysis of findings. Reports non-compliance to team or takes appropriate action when data indicate non-compliance. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers.
Responsibilities- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence.
- Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
- Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
- Working with internal manufacturing, inspect processes and reviewing products to assure conformity to specifications.
- Improving, documenting and refining the manufacturing processes to help create a seamless operation.
- Review product collected prior to shipment; supervise rework activities on items identified for such; assist with incoming material inspection, or sorting of inventoried material to determine suitability.
- Create and store inspection reports, including periodic analytics summarizing Quality Activity. (Quality Metrics)
- Provide insight into new product development and define the processes necessary to produce such items successfully.
- 5 years’ experience as a quality engineer in manufacturing
- BS degree or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics.
- Welding inspection experienced is preferred
- Demonstrable experience developing standards, managing processes, developing manufacturing methods and procedures
