PLL Design Engineer

Yoh is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to lead the design and development of advanced PLL and clocking solutions for high-performance integrated systems. This role is ideal for someone passionate about clock generation, frequency synthesis, and analog design, with a strong history of successful silicon tape‑outs.

Full Time

$200,000 - $250,000 base

Semiconductor Manufacturing

• Architect, design, and deliver PLL-based IP from concept through successful product-level tape‑out
• Own PLL top-level architecture and key sub-blocks such as VCOs, dividers, phase detectors, charge pumps, modulators, and clock buffers
• Analyze and optimize clocking performance, including phase noise, spurs, jitter (random and deterministic), coupling effects, lock behavior, and noise transfer characteristics
• Drive design tradeoffs related to lock time, acquisition, tracking, and system robustness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, verification, and silicon bring‑up

• Tape‑out experience in advanced semiconductor process nodes
• Familiarity with PLL-related RTL, digital integration, or timing analysis
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • PhD with 2+ years of industry experience, or
  • MS with 5+ years of industry experience
• Proven experience delivering PLL or clocking systems to silicon in production environments
• Deep understanding of clocking theory and PLL fundamentals
• Strong background in analog circuit design and analysis
• Experience owning complex mixed-signal or analog IP blocks
