trak group is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop software and control solutions for complex CNC-driven machinery. This role combines software development with hands‑on system integration, requiring both strong programming capabilities and practical troubleshooting expertise in Siemens environments.
You’ll work directly with Siemens platforms including Sinumerik One, 840D, and TIA Portal to create reliable, production‑ready control systems that power critical industrial operations.
Core Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain control software using , C, C++, and IEC 61131‑3 PLC languages
- Engineer solutions for Siemens CNC platforms with focus on system reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot integrated electromechanical systems across hardware and software layers
- Utilize Visual Studio and TIA Portal development environments for system programming
- Support full software lifecycle from development through testing, deployment, and validation
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for system logic and troubleshooting protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of controls or industrial software engineering experience
- Demonstrated expertise with Siemens CNC platforms (Sinumerik One, 840D, Step 7, or TIA Portal)
- Proficiency in Win Forms, C, C++, and PLC programming standards
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical system issues
- Strong analytical and technical documentation skills
- Work on tangible engineering challenges where your code controls real industrial equipment
