Marathon Petroleum Company, LP the fourth largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Utility Lab Tester at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.

• Perform product and process lab testing on petroleum distillates, black oil, diesel, and water per Marathon and ASTM standardized methods.
• Input lab results in the LIMS database.
• Issue Certificates of Analyses for finished product.
• Support refinery operations, terminals, and customers.
• Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver samples.
• Must be able to work 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a 4‑year bachelor's degree in a science related field and a minimum of four (4) college courses in chemistry and two (2) college chemistry lab courses from an accredited technical college or university is required.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
