Position SummaryMarathon Petroleum Company, LP the fourth largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Utility Lab Tester at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform product and process lab testing on petroleum distillates, black oil, diesel, and water per Marathon and ASTM standardized methods.
- Input lab results in the LIMS database.
- Issue Certificates of Analyses for finished product.
- Support refinery operations, terminals, and customers.
- Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver samples.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a 4‑year bachelor's degree in a science related field and a minimum of four (4) college courses in chemistry and two (2) college chemistry lab courses from an accredited technical college or university is required.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
