Responsibilities
- Monitors process performance and identifies opportunities for improving yield, energy efficiency, and reliability.
- Assists in planning test runs and develops projects to address opportunities.
- Supports collaboration with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Develops relationships with console and field operators.
- Participates in hazard evaluations, incident investigations, and management of change.
- Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
- Supports turnaround/outage execution.
- May review turnaround planning, including scope development and post-event evaluations.
- Maintains and updates process documentation.
- Troubleshoots and maintains unit mass balance within tolerance.
- Participates in technology advisory groups.
Minimum (Required)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Two (2) years or more of experience in process engineering within refining, petrochemical, or related industries.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and be able to physically perform all tasks in field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four (4) years or more of experience in process engineering within refining, petrochemical, or related industries.
