Job Details
  • Support customer and supplier quality activities throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
  • Complete PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other Automotive Core Tools documentation.
  • Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform mechanical inspections utilizing CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Conduct supplier audits and support customer scorecards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects.
  • Support new product launches and APQP activities.
  • Help mentor Quality Inspectors and Technicians while serving as a technical resource across the plant.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Automotive Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience with in automotive manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and other Automotive Core Tools
  • Experience working directly with customers and suppliers
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
  • Plastic or rubber manufacturing
  • Injection molding
  • Automotive sealing systems
  • CMM and Optical Comparator experience
  • IATF 16949
  • ASTM Standards
  • APQP
  • Supplier Quality
  • Statistical analysis and capability studies
