To strengthen our engineering team in Mönchengladbach, we are looking for an electrical engineer high voltage cables (m/w/d) who will be responsible for the design, analysis, commissioning, and maintenance of high voltage lines in a dynamic, international environment and ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.

Your tasks:

• Creation and review of tender documents
• Technical feasibility study in close cooperation with quality and production departments
• Coordination of projects and support of the product manager in customer contact
• Design and optimization of cable design (typically 15kV – 220 kV)
• Driving product development and innovations
• Conducting and revising electrical calculations (load current, short circuit, insulation coordination, grounding, etc.)
• Creation of technical documentation, drawings, and design documents
• Support in the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV equipment
• Coordination with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ensuring compliance with applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, BS, etc.)
• Participation in site inspections, FAT/FAI, and troubleshooting
• Support in compliance with project schedules
• Supporting the sales team in relation to qualifications, project implementation, and technical issues
• Supporting the quality department in quality complaints and technical problems with the customer

Your profile:

• Completed bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, ideally with a focus on high voltage technology
• Knowledge of HV (high voltage) equipment is advantageous
• Familiarity with international electrical standards
• Project management skills
• Process orientation, high communication and team skills
• Secure handling of Microsoft 365 as well as SAP
• Very good German and fluent English skills in speech and writing
