Health & Safety Excellence Coordinator

For our "Quality / Health / Safety / Environment" department, we are looking for a Health & Safety Excellence Coordinator (m/w/d) in Mönchengladbach.
Responsibilities include:
- Accompanying and supporting safety walks
- Planning, conducting, and follow-up of regular safety walks in all production areas
- Coaching employees in the independent execution of safety walks
- Development of standard checklists for safety walks and adaptation to specific area requirements
- Evaluation of safety walk results and derivation of measures in collaboration with the teams
- Visualization of safety walk findings (e.g., through digital dashboards or safety boards) for transparent communication
- Management of SUSA reports (safe and unsafe activities)
- Systematic recording, tracking, and documentation of SUSA reports
- Active support of production areas in the analysis, problem-solving, and implementation of measures to minimize risks
- Accident analysis
- Support in the analysis of accidents, including the conduct of root cause analyses and the 5-Why method
- Definition of corrective measures in collaboration with the affected teams and managers
- Visual communication & training
- Development and implementation of visual management tools (e.g., safety boards, digital dashboards, 5S visualizations)
- Design of easily understandable safety messages (e.g., pictograms, short films, posters)
- Conducting interactive safety workshops (e.g., "Safety Dialogues", toolbox talks) with a focus on practical application
- Coaching of managers for the independent implementation of safety measures
- Continuous improvement (KVP) & safety culture
- Initiation and support of safety KVP projects (e.g., Kaizen, PDCA cycles)
- Introduction of employee feedback systems (e.g., safety idea box, digital platforms)
- Analysis of near misses and development of preventive measures in collaboration with the teams
- Data-driven safety management
- Use of real-time data (e.g., IoT sensors, accident reports) to identify trends
- Creation of monthly safety reports with clear action recommendations for management
Your profile:
- Completed training as an industrial master with previous technical or industry-relevant vocational training or a comparable qualification
- First professional experience of up to three years in a production environment, for example in the areas of shopfloor, process optimization or continuous improvement process (KVP)
- Knowledge and practical experience in operational excellence, in particular in the application of lean methods such as 5S, standard work and PDCA cycles for the improvement of processes and safety performance
- Experience in accompanying and coaching teams and managers, for example in the context of Gemba walks, safety dialogues or toolbox talks
- Excellent communication skills as well as a solution-oriented and practical working method
- Good knowledge of the common MS Office applications
- Very good verbal and written expression skills
- Very good German and good English skills
