  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Lead process trials, validate results, and manage testing budgets
  • Partner with planning, design, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficient process flow
  • Apply statistical methods to analyze performance and improve process capability
  • Improve existing processes to reduce scrap, increase yield, and lower production cost
  • Support minor tooling adjustments and collaborate with machine shop on fixtures and new tooling
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and production data to resolve design and manufacturing issues
  • Own quality outcomes for the process, including authority to stop production for nonconforming material
  • Modify tooling and process parameters based on trial and production data to improve performance and durability
  • Maintain compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing with exposure to coatings, adhesives, or surface treatment processes
  • Strong understanding of coating application methods and curing systems
  • Experience with adhesion testing and surface characterization techniques
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot process issues and drive root cause resolution
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Background
