The Utilities Director is responsible for the management and operation of the City’s Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Meter Division, Storm Water Monitoring NPDES Program, and underground Utilities Division (Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer system, Storm Sewer system). The Utilities Director assumes management responsibility for all Utilities Department functions, programs, and operations of the city’s water and sewer infrastructure and recommends revisions of these ordinances.

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Environmental, Biology, or Chemistry or other related field.
• Five (5) years of supervisory, management, or administrative experience in municipal water and/or sewer activities, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Dual certifications issued by the Ohio EPA:
  Class III Water or Wastewater License and Class I Water or Wastewater license. Or ability to obtain a Class I license within 12 months of hire.
• City may consider any combination of education, certification, and experience in selecting a candidate.

• Valid Ohio driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the City’s vehicle insurance provider.
• Ability to obtain a Class IV Water or Wastewater License issued by Ohio EPA within two (2) years of hire.
