An exciting opportunity to join a global healthcare business developing innovative medical technologies supporting Women’s Health and Fertility solutions. This is a hands‑on R&D engineering role focused on the design, development and improvement of advanced electro‑mechanical medical devices.

Candidates MUST already be based in Cornwall or willing to relocate to Cornwall at their own expense.

The Role:
You’ll join a collaborative R&D team working on next‑generation medical devices, supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and development of electrical and electronic systems
  • Circuit schematic design and PCB layout (Altium or similar)
  • Verification & validation testing of medical devices
  • EMC & electrical safety compliance (IEC 60601)
  • Hardware/software integration and debugging
  • Prototype development, testing and troubleshooting
  • Technical documentation, protocols and reports
  • Cross‑functional collaboration with global engineering teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree qualified in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar
  • Experience in electronic design within medical devices or regulated industries
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design experience
  • PCB design experience using Altium or similar tools
  • Experience with verification testing and design documentation
  • Hands‑on engineering mindset with prototyping and debugging skills
  • Knowledge of DFMA and product development processes
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
