Process Engineer - Staffworthy Inc., Nevisdale, KY.

The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new or revised processes within the organization. This role requires an experienced professional with practical knowledge in the field, gained through advanced education and work experience. The ideal candidate will work independently with general supervision, contributing to projects and processes, and may influence others within the job area by explaining facts, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Work on process problems of moderate scope and assist with projects or processes, receiving general instructions from higher-level professionals.
  • Design equipment and processes to ensure the most efficient and productive operations.
  • Plan the sequence of operations and specify procedures for preparing materials and operating equipment.
  • Determine process design by balancing considerations such as process cost, yield, and material waste.
  • Conduct tests throughout all stages of processing to determine control over applicable variables and prevent/solve process problems.
  • Support continuous improvement and automation activities within the organization.
  • Utilize Six Sigma methodology to drive cost savings and improvements in waste and scrap.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with rubber manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Key Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts to team members.
  • Experience in rubber manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
