Calgon Carbon Corporation seeks an Environmental Engineer II to support our manufacturing operations and advanced filtration technologies. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize environmental control systems for air, water, and waste, ensuring regulatory compliance and advancing our sustainability goals. Responsibilities include supporting permits, conducting emissions and wastewater assessments, leading corrective actions, and partnering with operations to improve environmental performance.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize environmental control systems for manufacturing operations
- Support environmental permitting for air, water, and waste, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Monitor and analyze emissions and wastewater data; prepare internal and regulatory reports
- Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for environmental incidents
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to improve environmental performance
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects across sites
- Support ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems and audits
- Provide technical guidance on pollution prevention and waste minimization strategies
- Participate in site risk assessments and process hazard reviews from an environmental perspective
- Engage with regulators, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support compliance and projects
