This entry‑level role offers hands‑on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.

In this role, you will assist with the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low‑voltage technology systems in buildings while supporting project execution, documentation, and coordination across teams.

You will also contribute to project goals, client expectations, and budget awareness while supporting work in security and technology risk systems across healthcare, federal, corrections, and mission‑critical settings.

What You’ll Do

Develop technology design documentation, including drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, system diagrams, schedules, and design calculations. Utilize engineering and design software to develop coordinated technology solutions in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Software may include, but is not limited to:
Revit, Vizio (A/V & Network), iBWave (RF / WiFi Modeling), EASE / EASE Evac (Speaker Modeling), JVSG (Camera Coverage), ArcGIS (ESRI), PowerBI, Microsoft Office.

Participate in project site visits and existing‑condition assessments to document facility conditions and identify design considerations. Assist with evaluating project requirements and developing practical, efficient technology solutions under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers.

Coordinate technology systems with architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and other building systems throughout the design process. Support the preparation and review of construction documents, specifications, and other project deliverables through multiple phases of design.

Participate in client and project team meetings, contributing to discussions, documenting project requirements, and communicating technical information.

Assist with project planning, task coordination, scheduling, and tracking to support successful project delivery.

Document design decisions, project requirements, and client direction throughout the course of the project.

Participate in quality control and technical review processes to verify accuracy, coordination, code compliance, and adherence to project requirements.

Research applicable codes, standards, technologies, and design practices and incorporate relevant information into project work. Learn to evaluate technology systems from both a technical and practical perspective, considering performance, constructability, maintainability, and integration with the overall facility.

Progressively take on greater responsibility for project tasks and deliverables while developing the technical, communication, and project management skills necessary for a career in technology design.
