We are seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D Engineer to lead the development and commercialization of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies. This role will be responsible for process development, design-for-manufacturing (DFM), fixture and tooling design, customer technical engagement, and continuous improvement of specialized fabrication technologies including laser processing, heat-treat forming, Poly Iron, chemical milling, additive manufacturing, crystal growth, and advanced packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to develop innovative manufacturing solutions from concept through production.

Process&Technology Development

• Develop,optimize,andqualifyadvancedmanufacturingprocessesincluding:
• Laser processing
• Heat-treat forming
• Poly Iron technology
• Chemical milling
• Additive manufacturing
• Advancedpackagingtechnologies
• Float Zonecrystalgrowth
• Leadprocesscharacterization,DOE activities,rootcauseanalysis,andyieldimprovementefforts.
• DrivetechnologytransitionsfromR&Dintopilotandproductionenvironments.
• Establishprocesscontrols,specifications,anddocumentationtoensurerepeatabilityandquality.

Designfor Manufacturing(DFM)

• Partnerwithproductdesignengineerstoensuremanufacturabilityofnewproducts.
• ProvideDFMrecommendationsduringproductdevelopmentandNPIphases.
• Identifyprocesscapabilities,limitations,andcostdriverstooptimizeproductdesigns.

Tooling,Fixture,and Programming Development

• Design fixtures,tooling,andmanufacturingaidstoimproveprocesscapabilityandthroughput.
• Developandmaintainmanufacturingprogramsandprocessrecipes.
• UtilizeCADtools,preferably
  
  SiemensNX,tocreatetoolingandmanufacturingdesigns.

Materials&Process Characterization

• Conductprocesscharacterizationusinganalyticaltechniquessuchas:
• SEManalysis
• Cross-section analysis
• Dimensionalmetrology
• Surfaceandmaterialcharacterization
• Supportmaterialsevaluationsandcrystalgrowthstudies.
• Analyzeexperimentaldataandpreparetechnicalreportsandrecommendations.

Customer&Business Support

• Serveasatechnicalinterfaceforcustomersandinternalstakeholders.
• Supportcustomerdesignreviews,technical discussions,and problem-solving activities.
• Developtechnicalproposals,process estimates,andmanufacturingcostmodels.
• Providetechnicalguidanceonprocesscapability,risk assessment,andmanufacturingreadiness.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive productivity,quality,cycletime,andcostreductioninitiatives.
• Identifyandimplementinnovativemanufacturingtechnologiesandautomationopportunities.
• Supportcreationoftechnologyroadmapsandstrategiccapabilitydevelopmentplans.

• MSor Ph Din Mechanical Engineering ,Materials Science,Manufacturing Engineering,Chemical Engineering, Physics,or relatedtechnicaldiscipline.
• 5+yearsofexperienceinprocessdevelopment,manufacturingengineering,orR&Dengineering.
• Experiencewithadvancedmanufacturingorsemiconductor-related processes.
• Strongunderstandingof Designfor Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Experiencedesigningfixtures,tooling,andmanufacturingprocesses.
• Excellent problem-solving,statistical analysis,andexperimentaldesignskills.
• Strongcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytointeractdirectlywithcustomersandcross-functional teams.
