Principal Project Engineer – Communication, Navigation and Surveillance

• Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work, and associated cost estimates
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft Project
• Monitor project progress and adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management metrics
• Lead risk management processes to identify and mitigate project delivery risks and issues
• Contain scope growth through baseline change management
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, provide project updates, and address concerns
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and drive operational excellence
• Design, build, and maintain aerospace safety systems through Honeywell Aerospace’s CNS organization

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
• Minimum 8 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry
• Experience with CNS products and PE processes
• Gold Level EVMS certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning
• Able to travel to customer and internal Honeywell Aerospace meetings both domestic and international
• U.S. Person status, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain an export authorization
