Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer

• Provide technical expertise in integrating Honeywell Aerospace environmental control systems into aircraft
• Develop turbo machinery and heat transfer products
• Use Siemens NX and Teamcenter to develop and maintain robust design definitions
• Coordinate priorities with multiple customers and apply engineering judgment to complete complex assignments
• Evaluate how critical components fit and function together
• Support fabrication, operation, application, installation, or repair of mechanical products
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials knowledge, and manufacturing process expertise to produce manufacturable designs
• Communicate status and technical information to internal and external customer stakeholders
• Help lead resolution of supplier, production, and customer issues
• Lead multi-discipline design collaboration for turbo machinery, heat transfer, and environmental control systems
• Promote accountability for design standards, methods, and quality
• Advance digital product definition and Digital Engineering
• Improve design engineering processes through automation and AI-enabled methods
• Mentor less-experienced designers and share new design concepts and methodologies

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
• At least 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of integrating components and systems for commercial and military aircraft applications
• At least 3 years of experience with Siemens NX or similar CAD software
• At least 3 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter or similar PLM software
• At least 3 years of experience using GD&T, including intermediate to advanced knowledge in accordance with ASME Y14.5‑2009 or newer
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of tolerance stack‑up analysis
• Ability to plan and complete a variety of complex tasks and support multiple projects
• Willingness to learn, apply, and mentor others on new design concepts and methodologies
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Advanced capability with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Experience with new product development and systems integration design in an aerospace environment
• Ability to work with, lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others
• Familiarity with a broad range of mechanical design concepts, practices, and procedures
• Experience working effectively with global teams across time zones
• Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, protected status under asylum/refugee, or able to obtain export approval

Demonstrates expertise in mechanical design and integration of aerospace systems, with a strong focus on using Siemens NX and Teamcenter for product development. Capable of applying GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturable designs while mentoring others in advanced design methodologies.
