From Flight Lines to Test Cells:Capture the Data That Matters
Whether it's ground vibration testing on a rocket engine, rocket structural strain analysis, or NVH testing on next-gen aircraft, dynamic data acquisition leaves no room for error. At DEWESoft, we build ultra-rugged, high-performance DAQ systems that help aerospace defense contractors and advanced industrial manufacturers push hardware past its limits.
We are seeking an Application Engineer who loves high-stakes testing, dynamic signal analysis, and hands-on problem solving. If you thrive in wind tunnels, environmental labs, and test stands - connecting sensors to capture transient data when it counts most - this is your launchpad.
Your Mission:Drive Technical Excellence in the Field
You will be the lead technical authority matching our hardware and software capabilities with complex aerospace and structural testing demands.
- Architect High-Speed Test Solutions: Partner with flight-test, structural, and NVH test engineers to configure custom DAQ architectures for dynamic signal analysis, modal testing, strain/stress recording, and thermal profiling.
- Execute Live Proofs-of-Concept: Take our DAQ platforms directly onto test stands and ground-test cells. Demonstrate DEWESoft's software processing speeds, channel sync, and high-g hardware reliability in live environments.
- Bridge Multi-Sensor Systems: Configure multi-channel arrays incorporating accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure transducers, thermocouples, and high-speed video synchronization.
- Co-Pilot High-Stakes Sales: Serve as the primary technical expert alongside regional sales managers during deep-dive technical evaluations, RFP specs, and client onboarding.
- Influence Future DAQ Hardware & Software: Relay real-world field demands from aerospace test cells directly to our R&D teams, shaping future software modules and hardware features.
- Experience &
Education:
5-7 years of hands-on field or test lab experience with a 2-4 year degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (or related STEM field). - Test & Measurement Mastery: Deep familiarity with dynamic signal processing, vibration/NVH analysis, strain gauge setups, pressure transducers, and accelerometers (IEPE/ICP).
- Bus & Protocol Aptitude: Knowledge of data protocols common in aerospace and industrial testing (CAN/ARINC, PCM telemetry, Modbus, OPC UA, or EtherCAT).
- Field-Tested Adaptability: Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware/software setups in fast-paced, high-security, or harsh testing environments.
- Road Warrior Drive: Willingness to travel 50%-75% to customer test sites across the U.S. and Canada.
We build world-class tech, but we invest just as heavily in our team. We provide total financial security so you can focus on tackling complex engineering challenges.
- 100% Employer-Paid Healthcare: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage starting Day 1—with $0 premium cost taken out of your paycheck.
- Instant Retirement Security: 401(k) with an automatic 3% company contribution (no employee match required).
- Competitive Total Rewards: Strong base salary, total compensation, and performance incentives.
- True Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO and vacation packages so you can recharge after heavy travel stints.
- Unmatched Technical Culture: Access to industry-leading measurement gear, high-level technical autonomy, and a supportive team environment.
