Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Field Operations Supervisor at the Cox Creek Dredge Containment Facility on Kembo Road near Curtis Bay, MD within the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group. MES operates this site on behalf of the Maryland Port Administration.
Primary Responsibilities- This position reports to this site daily and provides management of field activity, supervision of operational staff, administrative functions, and equipment operation.
- This position may require overtime, nights, weekends, and inclement weather work during some operational periods.
$63,816.48 - $87,753.12

- Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus one year of supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities and 6 years prior experience operating heavy equipment, OR 6 years of progressively responsible experience applicable to the hiring facility.
- This experience must include a lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points, the ability to lift 50lbs, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- The preferred candidate is familiar with the operation of dozers, excavators, and dump trucks, reading and interpreting construction plans, wastewater treatment practices, and Microsoft Suite applications.
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
This position will be open until filled. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
