Our summer internships are full‑time (40 hours/week), paid positions lasting 10‑11 weeks. We offer competitive compensation, educational and social programming throughout the summer,as well as housingassistanceand relocation support for eligible interns.

Engineering roles in the Operations engineering group can include manufacturing engineers and process engineers, along with other exciting roles. Examples of work in each of these areas are listed below.

• Manufacturing Engineer:
  Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Process Engineer:
  Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.

Software Engineering Internships are based in Northridge, CA. All interns mustresidein the U.S. for the duration of the internship.

14through August
20 for quarter system programs.

Applicants for Mini Med’s Summer Internship Program must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Medtronic does not sponsor work authorization for internship positions. Individuals on temporary visa classifications, including E, F‑1 (CPT or OPT), H‑1, H‑2, L, B, J, or TN, as well as anyone who requires employment sponsorship now or in the future, are not eligible for Mini Med’s Summer Internship Program.

• A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
• Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: C/C++, C#, SQL, Python, Minitab, MATLAB, CAD:
  Solid Works/Autocad or equivalent
• Prior work on projects in a team environment
• Relevant academic project, internship, or lab experience
• Technical writing skills
• Experience with statistics and data analysis or Digital IC Design Theory
