As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical leader guiding complex civil engineering projects from conception through execution. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, act as a trusted technical subject matter expert, and build strong client relationships while translating complex needs into innovative, code-compliant solutions. You will also mentor others, strengthen team capabilities, and help identify opportunities that expand Progressive Companies' impact and business.
DeliverResults
- Develop innovative civil engineering designs and specifications for complex, multidisciplinary projects that advance Performance Based Design principles, regenerative strategies, and code compliance.
- Establish advanced documentation standards and procedures in Revit and AutoCAD to promote consistency, accuracy, and alignment across engineering deliverables.
- Lead cross-disciplinary project teams, communicating complex technical information clearly to clients, project partners, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leads to develop and execute detailed plans for large-scale initiatives, coordinating complex scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical decisions.
- Advise clients, internal leaders, and government agencies as a civil engineering subject matter expert, applying current regulations, industry trends, and best practices to reduce risk and strengthen outcomes.
- Review complex technical documents and project deliverables for design accuracy, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, and lead field inspections to confirm construction aligns with design intent.
- Mentor team members, lead lessons-learned and professional-development activities, and provide technical guidance that expands team capability and supports major strategic project decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
- Typically 15+ years of post-graduation professional engineering experience and/or 15+ years of professionally licensed experience.
- Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, along with proficiency using standard technology, software tools, and search engines.
