Engineer; EIT

A Civil Engineer (EIT) with Houston Engineering Inc. will spend time in the field working on outdoor construction phase activities as well as a variety of in-office projects assisting engineers.

Engineering projects range from complex grade separation projects and large bridges spanning a river with architectural enhancements to box culverts for a rural township over a small ditch.

We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our team in our Sioux Falls office. This role is intended for an individual with 0-3 years of prior experience.

• Assist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities.
• Assist with
  
  AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and updateredlines with various project set drawings.
• Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.
• Perform workin a variety of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, ArcGIS,etc.
• Potential observation and data collection at different types of project sites.
• Assist with research, development and design of projects.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and ArcGIS is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members, and clients.
• Superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, following up, and keeping project information organized.
• Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
