Description
The Project Engineer will oversee planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to schedule. This role includes upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.
Job OverviewThe Project Engineer will oversee planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to schedule. This role includes upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.
Duties/Responsibilities- Oversee the technical design and engineering of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with scope and successful project completion.
- Review and select process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
- Leverage engineering expertise to coordinate between field construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring the integrity of the engineering design.
- Lead customer reviews, addressing technical concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with Plant Manager to resolve issues that arise
- Collaborate in teams to drive continuous improvement of processes and systems, applying Lean methodologies and concepts.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Promote safety through proper design of processes and equipment selection
- Follow safety protocols and practices while working in the plant.
- Submit weekly progress reports to senior management.
- Manage project budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, meeting customer expectations.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to oversee and manage projects from design to completion
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively within teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work effectively in remote settings
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering and/or construction.
- General construction knowledge (preferred).
- Experience in chemical industry (preferred).
