Overview

Epstein is seeking a Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering team. The Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects involving transportation, site development, water/wastewater infrastructure, roadways, utilities, drainage, permitting, and complex utility coordination.

The ideal candidate is a versatile and experienced civil engineer with strong technical and project management skills. This individual will manage projects from inception through completion, provide technical leadership to project teams, coordinate directly with clients and agencies, and mentor junior engineers and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as Project Manager for civil infrastructure projects involving transportation, site development, and utility improvements
  • Lead the planning, analysis, design, and preparation of contract documents for roadways, site improvements, water and force mains, sanitary and storm sewers, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure
  • Manage projects from inception through completion, including scope, schedule, staffing, budget, quality control, and client coordination
  • Lead roadway and transportation design, including geometry, grading, drainage, utility coordination, and integration with adjacent site improvements
  • Provide design and technical oversight for water main and force main improvements, including alignment, profiles, utility conflicts, crossings, and constructability
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, contract plans, specifications, quantities, and construction cost estimates
  • Coordinate permitting and approvals with applicable agencies and utility owners
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, agencies, and other engineering disciplines
  • Provide technical leadership and perform quality reviews of engineering deliverables
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
  • Assist with proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, schedules, and business development efforts
  • Support projects during construction, including RFIs, submittals, field issues, and site visits
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of successful civil engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in transportation/roadway and site/civil engineering
  • Experience with water main and/or force main design
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design standards, specifications, permitting, and plan production
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, design teams, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, agencies, contractors, and subconsultants
