OVERVIEW
Marathon Petroleum Company's Catlettsburg Refining in Catlettsburg, Ky is seeking aTurnaround Specialist. The Turnaround Specialist will report to the Turnaround Manager andwilllead turnaround (TAR) and outage work in assigned refinery areas, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads turnaround (TAR) and outage work in assigned refinery areas, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
- Serves as primary point of contact for TAR planners and coordinators and any contract support positions per the event's organizational chart.
- Develops andfacilitatesthe Plan of the Plan (POTP), engaging key stakeholders for review and input on scope.
- Stays current with scope and project changes. Reports on field progress andverifieswork quality,monitoring punch list to avoid turnover delays.
- Reviews planned jobs in P6, sets weekly contractor priorities based on the POTP, andleadsconstruction progress meetings and pre-job analyses.
- Monitor sand adjusts contractor resources and associated work hours and manages rental equipment utilization.
- Reviews Work Scope Approval Forms, Requests for Information, Engineering Project Request Forms Log, Work List, and P6 Primavera schedule on a consistent basis to verify alignment.
Ensure all aspects of scope are captured properly on the Turnaround Work List. - Participates in contracting strategy decisions and controls costs by applying contract terms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum (Required)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two(2) years or more refining or petrochemical experience
- A valid driver's license
- Experience planning and executing TARs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Eight (8) years or more refining or petrochemicalmaintenanceexperience
- Engineering degree
- Previous leadership experience
- Experience in Primavera P6
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
This position works on a 4/10 schedule (M-Thu, 10 hours a day).Additional hours asrequiredfor turnarounds, outages, and projects.
