What You'll Do

  • Support air permitting work by reviewing manufacturing processes, materials, emission sources, potential emissions, regulatory requirements, BACT analyses, permitting options, and agency communications.
  • Assist with facility changes by reviewing new or modified equipment and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Identify and manage environmental compliance risks by tracking regulatory changes, emerging trends, and project updates through MOC and other tools.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including recordkeeping, routine evaluations, emissions reporting, compliance reporting, and source testing coordination.
  • Support audits, inspections, and inquiries from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Develop, maintain, track, and report SOPs and work instructions.
  • Conduct incident analysis to identify root causes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience with NSR and Title V permitting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including Texas and California.
  • Experience managing regulatory inspections and agency interactions.
  • Strong understanding of air quality laws and standards, including CAA, CEQA, NEPA, NESHAP, MACT, and NSPS requirements.
  • Experience with complex manufacturing or R&D facilities; chemical or semiconductor manufacturing/R&D experience is preferred.
  • Ability to understand chemical and physical manufacturing processes and prepare accurate emission inventories for reports and permit applications.
  • Strong ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages to leadership, production teams, engineers, legal counsel, and technical experts.
  • Strong time management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
