Managing Consultant, Environmental Air Quality Compliance, Engineer or Scientist

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in air quality compliance, permitting, and regulatory programs.
• Environmental consulting or industry experience, with working knowledge of local air districts, state and federal programs, Title V, and RECLAIM facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay flexible, travel as needed, and work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations and agency guidance.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and developing long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle, as the role involves travel across client locations.

• Experience in sectors such as energy transition, oil and gas, chemicals, technology, manufacturing, or mining.
• Familiarity with AERMOD, GIS, health risk assessments, CEQA, and other compliance programs.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional certification such as P.E., CSP, CHMM, or similar.

• Manage complex air permitting and compliance programs under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations.
• Conduct regulatory reviews and create permitting strategies aligned with client operations.
• Coordinate with regulators to support permit review and approval processes.
• Prepare technical proposals and support business development activities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and market growth.
