The Township of Toms River is seeking a full-time Director of Engineering and Community Development. The Director of Engineering and Community Development is responsible preparing plans for public projects, maintaining project-related documents, overseeing surveys and maps, and managing the planning, design, and construction of capital infrastructure projects. This role involves assisting in grant applications, providing technical advice to other Township departments, recommending capital projects to the Mayor and Council, and contributing to the formulation of the Township capital budget.

The Director of Engineering and Community Development also assigns projects to consulting engineers, supervises personnel within the division, and prepares monthly reports for Township Council. The ideal candidate should have experience in roadway design, stormwater management, capital project management, and civil site projects, along with a general knowledge of engineering methods and relevant regulations. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 5 years of experience in engineering activities, and a valid professional Engineer license in the State of New Jersey for at least 5 years.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $220,000.
