Full Time – M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Aftermarket Engineering Manager
Summary The Aftermarket Application Engineer provides aftermarket product support and serves as the technical expert for NORD products. This role supports employees and customers through technical failure analysis and evaluation, field service support, application reviews, and provides technical reports for escalated warranty and non-warranty cases.
Description-- Provide technical and field service support of NORD Mechanical and AC motor products.
- Provide post-sale phone support, resolving technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical consulting and support for NORD US sales, customers, service partners and subsidiaries.
- Support and assists with technical training for first level aftermarket support.
- Create evaluation reports for local and international service cases.
- Provide consultation to customers on mechanical and electrical products.
- Interact with engineering, quality, and production teams on customer-related issues requiring escalated technical support.
- Coordinate on-site visits and interventions for field technician service calls and service partners, including Authorized Service Partners.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to provide support and technical assistance.
- Create and assigns QN’s for quality and workmanship defects.
- Adhere to NORD safety policies, PPE requirements, and reporting procedures for safety concerns.
- Ability to learn and utilize diagnostic equipment and evaluation methods, including vibration analysis, thermal analysis, and oil analysis interpretation.
- Manage assigned International Service Requests (ISRs), ensuring customer and subsidiary needs are met and ISRs are updated weekly.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology. - Experience:
5+ years’ experience with electrical and mechanical power transmission products. - Skills and Key Attributes:
- Ability to learn basic inverter programming and industrial wiring.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements; capable of multitasking.
- Professional, positive team player.
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently without supervision.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely at heights or in confined spaces. - Travel Requirements: 10%
