Product Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Product Engineering Manager for a full-time role based in Miamisburg, Ohio. This position combines technical engineering expertise with people leadership, overseeing product design and development while managing and mentoring an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of low-voltage switchboards, panel boards, and electrical distribution equipment
• Manage and mentor engineering team members
• Oversee product development projects from concept through commercialization
• Ensure compliance with UL 891, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA standards
• Manage UL certification processes and serve as primary point of contact with UL representatives
• Collaborate across functions including manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer support
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and gather feedback
• Utilize CAD tools to support design reviews and product documentation

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 7–10+ years of experience designing low-voltage switchboards, panel boards, or electrical distribution equipment
  • 3+ years of people leadership or engineering management experience
  • Deep knowledge of UL 891, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA standards
  • Experience developing products for data center environments
  • Experience managing UL certification processes and working directly with UL representatives
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or equivalent
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage directly with customers
• Preferred
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
