* Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for the civil and structural design for assigned contracts in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
* Incorporate the use of Structural Department standards, software, and applicable design codes and standards in the preparation of all design assignments and proposals to meet customer specifications and code requirements.
* Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer specifications, local, state and federal regulations and standards.
* Responsible for the preparation of engineering analysis and design of structural steel and reinforced concrete systems in compliance with customer specifications, local, state and federal regulations codes and standards.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of civil engineering plans and specifications in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
* Ensure any variance and scope changes are acted upon and documents them in accordance with the cost and quality management process.
* Organize, direct, and coordinate all design assignment activities for assigned contract and proposal work in accordance with Corporate Policies, Guidelines and Procedures Manual and Department requirements.
* Maintain effective communication and working relationships within the department and between departments thus promoting a cooperative team atmosphere.
* Write work scope documents and specifications, coordinate and review work performed by engineering partners.
* All other duties as assigned.

* Education and Experience:
*** A Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
* 5+ years civil or structural engineering experience.
* Proficiency in heavy Industrial structural steel and foundation design.
* Strong knowledge of design and analysis methods for structural steel and reinforced concrete structures, IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, AWS, API, NFPA, OSHA and other applicable codes.
* Proficiency in RISA3D or similar fine element analysis-based structural analysis and design software.
