The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) is seeking part-time House Managers to join the Front of House management team of NBPAC. The House Manager will be responsible for performance-day operations in the front of house and deliver top-notch customer service to all NBPAC patrons, as well as perform administrative support for performance prep and volunteer management.

- Takes pride in providing exceptional services to meet all the needs of NBPAC customers.
- Implants customer service standards. Resolves problems. Identifies trends.
- Thrives working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
- Utilizes knowledge and experience to easily recognize opportunities to improve the operations of the theatre.
- Coordinating front-of-house staff and/or volunteers to facilitate the safe and timely movement of audiences in and out of performance spaces.
- Working closely with NBPAC Box Office and resident company box offices and staff to troubleshoot ticketing and customer service issues.
- Supporting and communicating with front-of-house staff to provide engaging customer service.
- Communicating with Stage Managers and other production staff to implement performance schedules and troubleshoot various issues.
- Coordinate and implement pre-show set-up of theatre(s) and performance material, including but not limited to programs, tables, chairs, and banners.
- Assisting with the training, orienting, day of performance role assignments, and overall supervision of Audience Ambassadors.
- Assisting with special projects and events as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be adaptable.
- Must be a team player and have good leadership skills.
- Hours required include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work flexible and varied hours depending on the performance schedule. Average seasonal hours 20 hours a week.
- 1-3 years of experience in theater front-of-house or event management.
- Ticketing system experience preferred but not required.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a part-time position, paying $18.00 per hour. This position does not include benefits.
This part-time position reports directly to the Director of Patron Services for NBPAC.
