The Graphic Designer is responsible for the graphic treatment of product lines across Z-Man, Office Dog, and Unexpected Games, preparing studio titles for production. While the primary focus is updating and correcting existing titles prior to reprint, the role also entails assisting in creating new products and marketing assets.
To ensure absolute accuracy, the designer prepares and adjusts final print files in compliance with Asmodee print production standards. The scope of work spans the entire development cycle; from early concepts and rough prototype visuals to final, polished graphics, and includes providing the marketing team with logos, renders, and other essential visual assets.
- Finalize all pre-press files to make our games print-ready, with a consistent high level of accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining our current games already in production, with a consistent high level of accuracy. For example, editing production files for corrections, legal changes, and wording updates without introducing new errors.
- Proofing one’s own work, as well as other work done by the design team.
- Maintain consistent best practices for file management, versioning, and communication throughout.
- Diligently pursue completion of work to meet project deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Keep the Producer and Creative Director aware of progress and any potential issues that may arise in a timely manner.
- Playtest internal products and provide feedback to game developers/designers.
- Design and develop thematic elements, graphics, iconography, and text for tabletop game products and marketing materials.
- Create early development and rough-concept graphics for use in print and digital prototypes.
- Set up graphic assets for digital prototyping within Component Studio.
- Compile game assets into templates for prototype printing.
- Create intuitive and clear graphic elements to represent game mechanisms and translate ideas into working, playable products.
- Design packaging and game logos to engage and attract consumers to the products.
Position Skills & Qualifications
:
- Highly proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of the methodologies and procedures of print production processes.
- Strong understanding of the technical aspects of print production.
- Excellent creative design and visual skills.
- Tabletop gaming experience.
Bonus
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in 3D programs and produce mockups and renders of game components.
- Traditional art experience in digital illustration.
- Familiarity with updating art assets in Component Studio or Tabletop Simulator.
- Physical prototyping experience, i.e. producing prototypes for conventions or other trade shows.
