SUMMARY:

Performs drop and count process. Operates coin wrap and currency sorting/counting machines. Bag/wrap coin from cage as needed. Prepares appropriate paperwork and makes necessary computer entries. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable gaming laws and regulations, as well as Dakota Magic Casino’s established policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a SWO Gaming Commission Key-Gaming license.
• Must have 6 months Count experience
• Computer Experience.
• Operate ten-key calculator.

Preferred:

• Prior count room experience or other high volume cash handling.
• Adept with mechanical devices.

Skills

Required:

• Effective Communication skills (verbal, written, and proofreading).
• Excellent organization, and multi-tasking skills, and must be detail oriented.
• Able to work in a structured, organized, and highly regulated environment.
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
• The ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data despite pressing deadlines.
• Ability to work as a strong team member and independently under critical time deadlines.
• To promote team spirit and to gain the respect of the team through your work ethic.

Abilities

Required:

• The ability to work early mornings and extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
• Must complete a 90-day probationary period.
• Attendance and timeliness are crucial.
• Ability to maintain gaming license requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs drop and count process in accordance with DMC SOP’s and all legal regulations.
• Operates coin wrap and currency sorting/counting machines.
• Obtaining and using and returning sensitive keys.
• Prepares appropriate paperwork and makes necessary computer entries.
• Assists in the training of new employees and positively reinforcing successful performance by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Work as a team to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow employees.
• Ability to clean and maintain equipment – making services calls as needed.
• Each Team Member is expected to share in performing cleaning duties such as, but not limited to, sweeping, moping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Reports any suspicious activity to the Supervisor, and/or Lead Supervisor for further review.
• Attend all necessary meetings and training.
• To perform other duties as assigned.
