Interim Assistant Management Accountant

Interim Assistant Management Accountant - Falmouth / Hybrid - £25-30,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been engaged by one of Falmouth’s largest employers who urgently seek to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join them on an interim basis, commencing ASAP. The role is full time and the duration of the contract is anticipated to be 5months. The role can be operated on a hybrid basis to suit the candidate, working from the company’s modern headquarters (with free parking), and remotely.

Joining a finance team of approximately 20, the successful candidate will join the organisation at a particularly busy time, working closely with the management accounting team. Key focus of the assignment to include:

• Assist the management reporting team in all aspects of financial reporting, regularly working with colleagues both in and outside of finance to produce detailed management information
• Income and expenditure analysis
• Respond to budget holder queries
• Entering correction journals where required
• Assist in the production of detailed multi-year financial projections
• Monthly reviews of the organisation’s general ledger postings
• Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts
• Play a key role in the production of ongoing project accounts

What we’re looking for. This contract represents an exceptional opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who wants to take a step up and focus on management reporting. Whilst a part/full AAT qualification would be ideal, those with relevant vocational experience who are keen to progress will be given equal consideration. Good IT skills including an aptitude for picking up bespoke accounting platforms is essential as will be the ability to work as part of a team, often remotely operating.

The role will involve liaising with many internal and external stakeholders so good communication is also a must.
