Controller - Manufacturing Plant | Lebanon, KY | Onsite

A growing, well‑established manufacturing facility in Lebanon, KY is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the plant's accounting operations and serve as a key business partner to leadership. This is a hands‑on, strategic role responsible for overseeing the full financial function, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead all plant accounting functions, including general ledger, month‑end close, and year‑end close.

+ Manage cost accounting activities: standard cost development, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and work‑in‑process tracking.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support operational and financial decision‑making.

+ Monitor internal controls, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and maintain audit readiness.

+ Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to provide financial insights and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

+ Oversee AP/AR processes and support payroll coordination as needed.

+ Manage and mentor accounting team member; drive a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

+ Support capital expenditure planning, fixed asset management, and plant financial modeling.

+ Serve as the primary finance point‑of‑contact for plant leadership and corporate finance teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong background in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting.

+ Proven experience leading month‑end and year‑end close processes.

+ Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.

+ Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar).

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.

+ Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, fully onsite manufacturing environment.
