Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services
The Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services (OFMS) Fiscal Services Division is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all the Agency's budget activities. This encompasses the biennial budget process, annual budget implementation, and projecting federal budget estimates. The Division is also responsible for the management of the Agency's revenue, disbursements and financial obligations as well as performing daily federal cash draws, reconciles and reports on federal grant status.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and maintain chart of accounts related to federal grants.
- Ensure grant revenues & expenditures are uniquely tracked pursuant to financial & grant award reporting requirements.
- Reconcile grant revenue and expenditures to state budgets.
- Analyze available cash and ensure grant spending does not exceed period of availability.
- Prepare, analyze, and report results of grant and federal fund status reports.
- Assist with federal cash draw downs and federal reporting of expenditures.
This position requires attention to detail and the ability to analyze large data sets, cash flow, reconciliation of fiscal data, expenditures, and budget reports. You will routinely communicate with Office management, federal and state auditors, and ODJFS fiscal teams. Effective and clear communication and problem‑solving skills are essential. Knowledge of the state’s Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) and federal systems is a plus.
LocationThis position will be headquartered at the Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
HoursStandard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
TravelTravel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid driver’s license.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
OPTION 1- 3 yrs. experience in budgeting that included fiscal analysis, management & control (e.g., probability; linear regression; multiple variable regression; computer assisted regression analysis models; trend analysis; forecasting cost benefit analysis).
