Position Overview
Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) at Bank of America.
The role focuses on obtaining Securities Industry licenses (Securities Industry Essentials [SIE], Series7 and Series
66) and applying foundational advisory skills to acquire, build, and manage client relationships, guiding clients through their complex financial picture while humanizing interactions.
The position involves working from a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions, and evolving to Financial Solutions Advisor StageII as a progression opportunity.
- Obtain required securities industry licenses within the established timelines (SIE within 30 days, Series7/66 within 120 days).
- Participate in structured training and one‑on‑one coaching from Academy managers to develop consultative advisory capabilities.
- Build, deepen, and manage client relationships, interacting with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients.
- Deliver comprehensive client reviews and presentations, recommending strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America’s and Merrill’s solutions.
- Maintain SAFE Act registration, completing required background checks and registration processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required industry licenses within specified timelines.
- Self‑disciplined time and capacity management.
- Experience cultivating client relationships and recommending solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and results‑driven mindset.
- Capacity to execute multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to new technology.
- At least one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
- Holder of FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and a bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in Client Experience, Branding, Client Solutions, Advisory, Investment Management, Pipeline Management, Referral Management, Client Management, Customer and Client Focus, Portfolio Management, Prospecting, Referral Identification, Business Acumen, Executive Presence, Oral Communications, Risk Management, and Trading.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays.
Shift: 1st shift (United States).
Hours per week: 40.
Pay range: $28.85 – $33.65 per hour, based on experience, education and skill set. Base salary only, no incentive.
