Location: Paintsville

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the branch teller area, supporting overall branch operational soundness, coaching tellers, managing teller line schedules, meeting audit and referral goals, and ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Job Duties
  • Lead by example and manage day‑to‑day teller line operations.
  • Schedule the teller line to ensure proper coverage and meet referral goals.
  • Act as the branch point person for audit preparation, ensuring team follows procedures.
  • Work with the manager to pass all audits and review performance.
  • Provide coaching to develop teller capabilities.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with teller hiring and staff development.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and trust.
  • Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and meet referral goals.
  • Maintain balancing and error records, locate and correct outages.
  • Handle check and cash deposits, verify amounts, endorse checks, and confirm negotiability.
  • Process complex multi‑step teller transactions.
  • Define, offer, and follow up on solutions for customer issues.
  • Follow security, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Complete required training for all bank policies.
  • Perform sales calls via phone or virtual conferencing to meet branch calling goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products and services.
  • Meet scheduled working hours and dress code standards.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience and

Job Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of related customer service experience.
  • Ability to work fast‑paced environments with high accuracy.
  • Trusted, confidential behavior.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to coach co‑workers.
  • Client focused and team player.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility for travel.
  • Consistent standing, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to attend training and visit other branches as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Consistent standing required; lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel availability to attend training and fill in at other branches.
