Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bank Teller role located in Jamestown, KY. The Bank Teller will provide front-line customer service by assisting clients with deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and other routine financial transactions. The role includes accurately handling cash, balancing a cash drawer at the end of each shift, and following established teller operations procedures. The Bank Teller will answer customer questions, resolve basic account issues, and refer customers to appropriate team members for additional products and services.
Daily responsibilities also include verifying identification, maintaining security and confidentiality standards, and supporting branch goals through courteous, efficient service.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in teller operations and familiarity with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with deposits, withdrawals, and other transaction processing, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong cash handling skills, including balancing a cash drawer and reconciling discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills to explain banking services clearly and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Customer service skills focused on patience, active listening, and problem resolution in a courteous, respectful manner.
- Basic math and computer skills, including use of banking software and standard office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior banking, retail, or cash-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work on-site during standard banking hours, follow security protocols, and handle confidential information responsibly.
