Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant – Tax to join our fast‑paced Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax advice, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to ensure compliance and identify tax‑planning opportunities.Provide tax advice to clients and recommend strategies to minimize tax liabilities.Assist with tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Work closely with other team members to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.Collaborate with other departments to provide tax information and advice.Perform tax‑related financial statement analysis and review.Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize business operations.Prepare tax projections and estimates for planning purposes.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public‑accounting firm.Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non‑tax professionals.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.High level of integrity and professionalism.Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.Ability to stay current with changing tax laws and regulations.Benefits
