Position Summary

Carlyle seeks a Senior Product Specialist for the Carlyle Alp Invest Client Solutions Group. The role focuses on owning the product coverage of Carlyle Alp Invest’s Strategic Portfolio Finance and Credit Secondaries strategies, driving fundraising, product development, and investor relations across multiple vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as subject‑matter expert with full ownership of content produced for the Portfolio Finance and Credit Secondaries strategy.
  • Lead pre‑marketing, strategy and product development initiatives ahead of fund launches.
  • Develop, lead and oversee the full fundraising process from start to finish.
  • Set fundraising objectives in coordination with Carlyle Alp Invest Business and CSG Leads.
  • Oversee project management across Investment Team, Fund Management, Legal/Compliance to execute fund launches in the optimal structure for target investors.
  • Lead introductory and ongoing investor dialogues, working with Relationship Managers.
  • Coordinate roadshows with the Investment Team, track fundraising progress and report status to stakeholders.
  • Incorporate LP feedback in real‑time into strategy presentations, product design, terms, and other deliverables.
  • Serve as senior day‑to‑day contact for both Relationship Managers and the Investment team, managing key stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and present the value proposition and messaging of the product to investors.
  • Make recommendations to senior leadership on terms, product timeline, mandate, and strategy messaging.
  • Oversee investor due diligence and closing processes, including onsite diligence meetings and related follow‑up.
  • Act as the primary Product Specialist contact for prospective investors, guiding them through side‑letter and legal negotiations to closing.
  • Build relationships with investors throughout diligence and participate in global roadshows.
  • Manage three dedicated team members focused on strategy and lead training, development, and mentorship of junior Product Specialists.
Product Development
  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders to ensure successful launch of new product lines, leveraging market knowledge and LP preferences.
  • Socialize new product, structure, and strategy ideas with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Fund Management, and Investment Team to develop efficient product offerings for investors.
  • Coordinate fundraising and product strategies, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, preferably in a Product Specialist role.
  • Credit or secondary product strategy experience preferred; private credit a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of engaging senior professionals and external stakeholders.
  • Sophisticated, tactful client management abilities; able to manage the full LP lifecycle.
  • Resourceful, collaborative, and able to work well with segment and investment teams.
  • Strategic sales mindset with the ability to identify sophisticated sales opportunities.
  • Role model and manager—capable of delegating, providing support, and guiding a team.
Compensation & Benefits

The role offers a base salary of approximately $300,000, commensurate with the high‑value nature of the position. In addition to the base salary, the incumbent will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes retirement benefits, health, life and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits, wellness programs, and potential eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive program based on performance.
