Retail Personal Banker II – North Cincinnati, Ohio
General Function
:
Selected candidates will transition to a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4‑8 week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. The role is a sales position focused on relationship building, deposit, loan, fee‑based service promotion, and customer retention.
- Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of retail consumer and small‑business products and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proactively reach out to customers using CAMP and other marketing tools to set appointments for financial reviews.
- Cross‑sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage presentations, business calls, and community events.
- Refer customers to partners in Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment when appropriate.
- Meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, contributing to year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L.
- Provide guidance to Customer Service Representatives on sales and referral processes.
- Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing.
- Assist with opening/closing of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct, maintaining ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- College degree or equivalent work experience that provides transferable skills.
- Preferred experience in the financial industry.
- Comfortable with sales activities and cross‑selling to consumer households and small businesses.
- Ability to perform advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
- Professional presentation skills and strong verbal/written communication.
- Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to apply sound judgment.
- Required S.A.F.E. Act registration via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
- Normal office environment with long periods of computer screen use.
- Travel within the affiliate for training, and occasional out‑of‑area travel for classroom sessions.
