** Role Overview
** Cathay Innovation, a global venture capital fund investing out of a $1B early-stage Fund III (affiliated with Cathay Capital, ~$8B AUM), is expanding its San Francisco team and hiring an investor (Associate to VP level) with strong sourcing ability across the SF venture and tech ecosystem.
** Key Responsibilities**- Develop investment theses and source investments across the AI stack (infrastructure, compute, models, inference, tooling), with room to flex into consumer, fintech and enterprise
- Lead and support deal execution, financial modeling, investment memos and board work
- Engage Cathay's corporate ecosystem and LP network to surface opportunities and insights
- Build and nurture a network representing Cathay across events, conferences and thought leadership
** Qualifications**- Strong understanding of the AI stack; semiconductors, robotics or autonomy experience a plus
- High work ethic and willingness to spend significant time with AI labs and technical teams
- Entrepreneurial, curious, and able to build authentic long-term relationships with founders
